Ironbridge Gorge

2012-04-04

Ironbridge Gorge is an UNESCO World Heritage site. It is historically significant due to its role in the Industrial Revolution. An annual pass to all attractions costs ?23.25 per Adult. We visited the Tile Museum, Tar Tunnel and Blists Hills Victorian Town. We can come back at any time to visit the remaining attractions. My favourite was the Tar Tunnel, it resembles a long mine shaft that you can walk down after donning a hard hat. Natural bitumen seeps through the walls and you can see a few pools in other sections.
