Shopping

I am trying to be careful about what we buy, and will try to find the cheapest vendors, especially for recurring purchases..

But I am willing to pay for quality.

Food

49p for a pint of milk from the corner store.

Clothing

I bought a headband to keep my hair from blowing in my face. £12 for a new coolmax rag from buff. It offers high UV protection, I am going to try wear it over nose and mouth while cycling and see how it goes.

Bicycle

I ended up buying a bike from Evans cycles. Its a Trek 7.3FX that cost me £350.

A body geometry glove from Specialized cost me £14.99

A cateye EL120 Sport Opticube was $14.99

A cateye TL-LD270 3 LED cost me $12.99

When buying a light I looked at the hours it would last while in flashing mode. I should've thought about being able to detach the lights easily. The rear TL-LD270 does this, but the EL120 doesn't.

2007-10-26 bought some full fingered gloves because its so cold. sidewinder gloves cost me £29.99 from Evan's cycles.

Locks! I have a Abus D lock and a Kyptoflex cable (£9.99 Chamberlain cycles) for the wheel.

TOPEAK Panoram V12 mini bicycle computer. This is wireless

TOPEAK Super Tourist DX. Remember to get the non-disc brakes.
